41 35 101 Stripping operations - Replacing rear side panel, left
NOTE:
Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

- Disconnect negative battery cable
- Remove bumper trim panel
- Remove center bumper guide
- Remove left bumper guide
- Remove luggage compartment floor trim panel
- Remove tail panel trim at top
- Remove left rear light
- Remove left luggage compartment wheel arch panel
- Remove rear left wheel
- Remove rear left wheel arch cover
- Remove trim panel for roof pillar
- Remove trim panel for storage shelf (parcel shelf)
- Remove rear seat
- Remove backrest
- Remove rear window
- Remove rear left lock striker
- Remove rear left door sill cover strip
- Remove the rear left rocker panel trim (outer)
- Remove rear left door edge protection
- Remove trim panel for cover on left side member
- Remove trim strip on left roof frame
- Remove trim strip on drip molding
- Remove tailgate
- Remove left tension spring for tailgate
- Remove rear left door.
- Partially detach tailgate seal
- Partially release wiring harness
Release latch mechanisms and remove rear ventilation (1).
Partially release insulating mat (2) and tie to one side.
Installation note:
The rear ventilation must not be damaged! (watertightness).
All latch mechanisms must engage audibly.
