51 23 110 Removing and installing/replacing left engine compartment lid lock

Removal: 

Release the screws (1) and feed out the engine compartment lock (2).

Remove the wheel arch cover for the headlight.

Release the plug connection from the engine compartment lock.

Unclip the grommet (1).

Detach the Bowden cable (2) from the engine compartment lock (3).

Installation: 

Attach the Bowden cable (2) on the engine compartment lock (3).

Clip in the grommet (1).

Feed in the engine compartment lock (2).

Tighten down the screws (1).

Tightening torque: 51 23 1AZ .

Connect the plug connection from the engine compartment lock.

Install the wheel arch cover of the headlight.
