12 14 523 Replacing pulse sensor on intake camshaft (S55)
IMPORTANT:
Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove left INTAKE FILTER HOUSING
Removal:
Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Unfasten screws (2).
Remove pulse generator (3).
Preparation for installation:
Check sealing ring and replace as necessary.
Installation:
Install pulse sensor (3).
Tighten screw (2).
Tightening torque: 13 62 1AZ .
Attach and lock connector (1).
Connector (1) must snap audibly into place.
Required follow-up work:
- Install left INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
