61 35 243 Removing and installing (replacing) top sensor line for the contactless tailgate opening

CAUTION: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary work:

Removal:

Unlock connector (1) on control unit (2) and disconnect.

CAUTION: Risk of damage; do not kink sensor line (3).

Feed out associated connecting line in area (1).

Release sensor line (3) at clips (2) and remove.

Installation:

CAUTION: Risk of damage; do not kink sensor line (3).

Attach sensor line (3) with clips (2).

Feed in associated connecting line in area (1).

Installation note:

Make sure connecting line (1) is correctly routed.

Clips (2) must not be missing or damaged.

Make sure sensor line (3) is correctly fitted.
