Remove door lock

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING COVER ON DOOR HANDLE .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING SOUND INSULATION ON FRONT DOOR .
- Refer to REMOVING COVER ON THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR .
- Loosen screw (1).
- Slide the outside door handle support (2) towards the front and feed out inwards.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) on the door lock.
Release the vehicle wiring harness (2) from the door lock and the outside door handle support.
- Unclip locking rod (1).
- Loosen screws (2) and (3).
- Guide out the door lock (1) together with the outer door handle support (2) from the door.
Make sure that the seal from the door lock is not damaged when removing.
- Detach the linkage (1) from the door lock (2).
- Detach the Bowden cable (1).
- Detach the Bowden cable nipple (2).
