Replacing holder (with rubber mount) for left or right wishbone (X2 2018-2023)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Refer to REMOVING WISHBONE .

Removal:

Insert special tool 11 0 420 into bore hole in wishbone pin.

Preparing special tool 31 2 100:

Replace original spindle by spindle 23 0 272.
Mount special tool 31 2 103 on special tool 31 2 102.

Position special tool 31 2 100 and pull off holder with rubber mount (1) with spindle 23 0 272.

NOTE: When pulling off the holder (with rubber mount), ensure that the inner sleeve of rubber mount does not remain on the wishbone pin.

Installation:

Coat inside of rubber mount with lubricating oil 4 UH 1-460 N (part number: 0 306 232).

Align holder with rubber mount (1) to wishbone (see graphic).

Slide on holder with rubber mount (1) onto wishbone pin (2) up to limit position.
