Prepare New Part

- Mark and make the separating cuts on the new part in accordance with the separating cuts on the vehicle.
- Prepare the reinforcement plates at the separating cuts for the welded connection and the bonded connection.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Reinforcement plate with stud bolt (welded) - At the separating cut (1) of the C-pillar, fit the reinforcement plates (2) and (3) together with the new part.
- Prepare the separating cut and the reinforcement plates (1) and (2) for joining by welding.
- In the area of the water channel, prepare the separating cut (1) and the area (2) up to the reference line (3) for joining by welding.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Adhesive technology in the area of the outer skin (not for structural adhesion):
The bonding surfaces of the new parts may not sharpened or ground.

- In the areas (1) and (2), drill out bore holes to Ø 4.2 mm for blind rivets.
Area Number 1 4 2 3 - In area (1), drill out a bore hole to Ø 4.2 mm for the blind rivet.
- Remove new part and deburr holes.
