Removing The Rear Left Side Panel

Mark the separating cut (1) to the specified dimensions.
Dimension a = 190 mm from the corner of the roof outer skin.

Dimension b = 125 mm from the corner of the side panel.
Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

Mark the separating cut (1) to the specified dimensions.
Dimension a = 90 mm.

Dimension b = 60 mm.

Dimension c = 88 mm.

Dimension d = 128 mm.

Determination of separating cut using a template
Determine position of the severance cut in addition to the dimensions with the aid of a template (1).

Cut the separating cut (1) on the C-pillar as marked. Disconnect only the outer panel.

Cut the separating cut (1) in the water channel centered between the bolting points (2). Disconnect only the outer panel.
Open welded connections in area (3).

Mark and cut the separating cut (1) on the side sill next to hole (2). Disconnect only the outer panel.
Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

Release the welded connections in the areas (1) to (3).
Detach the side panel from the cavity sealing (4).
