Install The A-Pillar Outside In The Area Of The Windscreen

Apply sealant D1 to cavity sealing (1).
CONSUMABLE DESCRIPTION

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985
Install the new part and the reinforcement plates and weld them in the area (2).

RISK OF DAMAGE
Damaging the airbag
Kinking or bending the airbag may damage the airbag and result in a malfunction of the airbag .
- Handle airbag carefully and move it minimally by hand.
- Do not kink or bend the airbag.

Open the hook and loop fastener (2) and remove the protective sleeve (1).
Check
Check the airbag (1) in the area of the protective sleeve for damage.

Measure
- Renew the airbag.
Parts: Airbag
Position airbag (4).
Clip in clamp (3),
Tighten down screw (2),
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

8 Nm

Position the deformation element (2) and tighten the bolts (1).
