Remove B-Pillar With Reinforcement

- Make the separating cut (1)
to dimension.
Dimension (a) = 25 mm from the centre of the hinge mount.
- Cut through B-pillar completely. Do not damage the inner side member in doing so.
- Mark and carry out the separating cuts (1)
in accordance with the specified dimensions.
Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension (a) =160 mm from the centre point of the mounting bore.
Dimension (b) = 360 mm from dimension a.
Dimension (c) = 25 mm from the component edge of the roof frame.
- Start the separating cut (1) as shown and completely cut through the B-pillar.
- Open the welded connections in the areas (2)
and remove the section (3)
.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Detach the section of the B-pillar reinforcement (2).
- Release the welded connections in the area (1)
and remove the B-pillar section (2).
- Mark and cut the separating cuts (1)
and (2)
according to the specified dimensions.
Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension (a) = 110 mm from centre of hole Ω 20 mm.
Dimension (b) = 20 mm from centre of hole Ω 20 mm.
- Open welded connections in area (3)
.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Detach and remove the side sill section from the cavity sealings (2).
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Remove B-pillar reinforcement section (2).
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Remove sections (2).
