Preparing New Part

- Mark and make the separating cut (1) according to the separating cut on the vehicle. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
- Release the welded connections in the areas (2) and remove section (3).NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

- Adjust new parts with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

NOTE: Inner section of engine mount is hidden for better overview!

NOTE: Support of the wheel well (1), outer section of the engine mount (2) and the mount (3) of the front subframe must be welded together in the areas (4) using the plug-weld procedure.
- Transfer and drill holes (4) (open welded connections) on new part engine mount outer section (2). Do not drill through the mount (3) while doing so.
- Prepare the new part and the reinforcement plate (1) in areas (2) for joining by welding.

NOTE: The component "front subframe mount" is in the areas (1) and (2). (see also Figure RB41-031-00)
The component "front subframe mount" must be welded in the areas (1) and (2) using plug-welding. - Transfer and drill holes (3) (open welded connections) on new part engine mount outer section.
- In areas (2), set one 0 6.8 mm bore each. The positions of the bores (2) can be found from the removed part and transferred to the new part. Do not drill through the mount of the front subframe while doing so.
- Prepare for joining by welding in the areas (4).
- Prepare the new parts in the areas (1) for joining by welding.
Replacing the coarse thread bolt and threaded weld bolts (steel surface)
NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details. - Renew the coarse thread bolt (1) and the threaded weld bolt (2).
Parts: Coarse thread bolt, threaded weld bolt Take the number and position from the component to be replaced or the add-ons.
- Weld the coarse thread bolt (1) and threaded weld bolt (2) onto the new part.
Check ground pins and replace if necessary
