Remove the roof trim strip

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Lever out the roof trim strip (1) using the special tool 0 490 538 (00 9 321) , starting from the rear.
Unclip the roof trim strip (1) upwards from the clamps (2).
