Removing and installing/replacing top right wishbone (X2 2018-2023)

NOTE: If the top wishbone is detached from the rear axle support, wheel alignment. Refer to KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE must be carried out after installation.

Necessary preliminary work: 

Removal: 

Only for right ride height sensor:

Release screws (1) for jointed rod on wishbone.

Remove cable (2) from holder (1).

Release nut and remove screw (2).

Release nut and remove screw (1).

Take off wishbone.

Installation note: 

Tighten screw connection (1) and (2) in NORMAL POSITION .

Installation: 

Align wishbone (3).

Replace screw and nut.

Insert bolt (2) and screw on nut.

Parts:  Bolt and nut

Replace screw (1) and nut.

Insert bolt (1) and screw on nut.

Parts:  Bolt and nut

Move vehicle into NORMAL POSITION .

Tighten nut of bolt (1) and (2) in normal position.

Tightening torque 33 32 1AZ .

Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .

Secure cable (2) on wishbone.

Only for right ride height sensor:

Tighten screws (1) for jointed rod on wishbone.

Tightening torque 37 14 5AZ .

Required follow-up work:
