Removing and installing/replacing bottom right wishbone (X2 2018-2023)

NOTE: If the bottom wishbone is detached from the rear axle support/trailing arm  , wheel alignment. Refer to KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLEmust be carried out after  installation.

Necessary preliminary work: 

Removal: 

Mark the position of eccentric washer to the trailing arm to simplify the subsequent adjustment of rear axle.

Release nut and remove screw (1).

Slacken nut (2).

Remove eccentric washer and unscrew screw.

Remove wishbone (3).

Installation note: 

Tighten screw connection (1) and (2) in NORMAL POSITION .

Installation: 

Align wishbone (3).

Replace screw (2) and nut.

Insert eccentric screw (2) and connect eccentric washer.

Align eccentric washer to the marked position.

Parts:  Eccentric screw (2) and nut

Tighten nut (2) in normal position (during wheel alignment).

Tightening torque 33 32 2AZ .

Replace screw (1) and nut.

Insert bolt (1) and screw on nut.

Move vehicle into NORMAL POSITION .

Tighten nut of bolt (1) in normal position.

Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .
