Partially installing the left output shaft

- With automatic transmission only:
- Lever out the O-ring (1) .
- Replace O-ring (1)

- Insert the new O-ring (1)

- Do not mix up the circlips.
Different types of output shafts have been fitted:
- M: mechanical transmission
- A: automatic transmission
- Replace the circlip (arrow).
- Insert the installation protection ring (1) into the radial shaft seal.
- Make sure the tool fits over the lip of the radial shaft seal to avoid damaging the sealing ring when inserting the output shaft.
- Insert the output shaft (1) in the transmission.
- Manual transmission only: Pull on the handle to remove the installation protection ring (2) and dispose of it.
- Slide the output shaft (1)
up to the stop in the transmission.
The output shaft (1) must snap-in audibly.
- Check for secure seat by levering.
