11 28 020 Removing and installing/replacing belt tensioner of the alternator (230i and 230i xDrive coupe/convertible)
NOTE:
When replaced, the tensioning device must be de-tensioned
again before removal.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Refer to REMOVING ALTERNATOR .
Removal:
Loosen the screws along the arrows.
Guide the belt tensioner (1) out and remove.
Installation:
Guide the belt tensioner (1) in at the alternator and install.
Tighten the screws along the arrows.
Tightening torque 12 31 2AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Refer to INSTALLING ALTERNATOR .
