Removing and installing/replacing socket housing for left rear light (2016-2022)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove REAR LIGHT .

Release all latch mechanisms.

Remove the socket housing (1) from the rear light (2).

Installation note: 

The socket housing seal must not be damaged or missing.

Make sure socket housing (1) is correctly locked.

Replacement: 

Installation note: 

Gasket (1) on socket housing (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Carefully press bulb (3-6) into socket housing (2), turn in direction of arrow and remove from socket housing (2).

1. (3) Bulb, turn indicator.
2. (4) Bulbs, brake light.
3. (5) Bulb, reversing light.
4. (6) Bulb, rear fog light.

Note BULB TYPE .

Turn socket housing (1) to the left and remove from the rear light (2).

When replacing the socket housing: Remount the bulb. 

Turn bulb (1) in direction of arrow and remove from the socket housing (2).

Install bulb (1) in direction of arrow in the socket housing (2).

Note BULB TYPE .

Installation: 

Turn socket housing (1) to the right and install in the rear light (2).

Required reworking: 

• INSTALL REAR LIGHT .
