Remove front door trim panel
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE MIRROR TRIANGLE COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE DECORATIVE STRIP FROM THE DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Lever out cover (1) with special tool 0 493 681 (64 1 020)
and remove.
The special tool is attached at the marked point (arrow).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Loosen the door trim panel (2) from the clips (3) and remove it.
- Detach the Bowden cable (1) for the release lever at the counter support (2).
- Detach the Bowden cable (1) for the release lever at the door lock (3).
- Unfasten plug connection.
- Unclip the wiring harness (4) and remove the door trim panel.
