Removing the trunk lid handle
NOTE:

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Refer to REMOVING TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR VIEW CAMERA .
- Loosen the nuts (1).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (2).
- Guide out the tailgate handle strip (3) to the rear together with the tail light and remove.

- Version up to 03.19:
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Loosen nuts (2).
- Detach trunk lid handle (1) from clips (2) and remove towards rear.
- Version as of 03.19:
Loosen nuts (1).
Unlock and disconnect plug connections (2).
Feed out tailgate handle strip (3) together with the rear light towards the rear and remove.
