Remove the vehicle wiring harness of the integrated power supply module (PDM)

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Screw all screw points of the cable ducts on again. Some of the screw points are also grounding points.

If control units are disconnected, fault memory entries and functional limitations may occur.
The fault memory entries must be read out and, if necessary, deleted.

Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING COVER FOR THE DME CONTROL UNIT ON LEFT .
- Refer to REMOVING COVER FOR THE RIGHT DME CONTROL UNIT .

Wiring harness of the integrated power supply module (PDM)
- Unlock and disconnect the connectors (1) from the integrated power supply module (PDM).
- Unlock connector (2) and unplug it from the DME control unit.
- Unscrew the bolt (3) and remove the ground cable.
- Release the clamps of the wiring harness.
- Guide out vehicle wiring harness of integrated power supply module (PDM) and place to one side.
- Unlock connector (1) and unplug it from the DME control unit.
- Unlock connector (2) and detach from the wiring harness section for the sensor system of cylinders 7 to 12.
- Unscrew the bolt (3) and remove the ground cable.
- Release the clamps of the wiring harness.
- Guide out the wiring harness of the integrated power supply module and remove.
