17 11 100 Removing And Installing/Replacing Coolant Expansion Tank (N55, N57 D30 U/O/T 0/1)

Necessary preliminary work:

Follow INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPAIR WORK ON THE COOLING SYSTEM .
Only for vehicles with the Dynamic Drive:
Remove left TRAILING LINK .
Remove INTAKE PORT .
Release expansion tank for Dynamic Drive and place to one side. See 32 41 250 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FLUID RESERVOIR FOR HYDRAULIC STEERING or 32 41 280 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING OIL RESERVOIR .

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque: 17 10 3AZ .

Clamp off coolant hoses (2) with a suitable tool.

Release and disconnect coolant hoses (2).

Raise expansion tank (3).

Unlock connector (1) on coolant level switch and disconnect.

Remove expansion tank (2).

Assemble engine.

Top up COOLANT .

Check cooling system for LEAK TIGHTNESS .
