Carefully heat up the rear spoiler (1) with a hot air blower (max. 100 °C).

Carefully detach the rear spoiler (1) with special tool 00 9 325 from the tailgate.

The adhesive tape (1) may not be positioned on the bonding surface of the rear spoiler.

Mark the dimensions (B and C) on adhesive tapes (1).

Dimensions:

  1. 310 mm
  2. 390 mm
  3. 385 mm

Install the rear spoiler:

Transfer the marks (1 and 2) with the adhesive tape onto the outer side of the rear spoiler.

Place the rear spoiler onto the tailgate and check if the marks (1 and 2) on the rear spoiler match the marks on the tailgate.

Clean the rear spoiler and apply the adhesive tape (3) within the groove onto the rear spoiler.

Press the adhesive tape (3) on with force.

The adhesion of the adhesive tape builds up significantly via the contact pressure. Therefore, press thumbs or fingers over the entire area.

NOTE: It is imperative to avoid the formation of bubbles or creases, as well as severe overstretching, during application of the adhesive tape.

If possible, wait for approximately 2 hours before installing the rear spoiler.
