11 37 020 Removing and installing/replacing servomotor for eccentric shaft (N52)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .
Remove ignition coils (1) next to the servomotor (2).
Detach the ignition wiring harness (3) from the cylinder head cover and place it to one side.
Unlock the plug connection (1) on the servomotor (2) and disconnect the plug.
Risk of damage to intermediate shaft.
Using a hexagon socket wrench (2) and reversible ratchet, turn the screw (1) to the right as indicated by the arrow. This releases the tension on the intermediate shaft.
Release the screw (1) beneath the servomotor.
Tightening torque: 11 37 3AZ .
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque: 11 37 3AZ .
Turn the screw (1) to the left and remove the servomotor (2) by extracting it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
If necessary, detach the screws (1) and replace the seal (2).
Installation note:
The gearing of the worm gear and the eccentric shaft must be greased with LONGTIME PD 1 (4.1) .
Insert the servomotor (1) and turn the screw (2) to the right, continuing until the servomotor (1) is against the sealing flange (3).
Assemble engine.
Check function of DME.
