Removing and installing/replacing center console operating facility (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Version with manual gearbox only: 

• Partially remove gearshift lever GAITER

Version with automatic transmissions only: 

• Remove selector lever COVER .

1. Reach under front section of operating facility (1).
2. Press front latch mechanism in direction of arrow and simultaneously raise operating facility (1) towards top.

3. Disconnect associated plug connection and remove operating facility (1).

Installation note: 

Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Make sure operating facility is correctly fitted in center console.

In case of replacement, remount operating unit cover: 

Release latch mechanism (1) and remount cover (2), depending on equipment.
