Removing and installing/replacing tailgate gasket (4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)
Follow the notes on fitting SEALS .
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove left and right LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH PANELS
- PARTIALLY (AT THE TOP) LOOSEN GAS-FILLED TAILGATE SPRING
Removal:
Detach gasket (1) starting at sealing joint (2), moving inwards.
NOTE:
Sealing joint (2) is vulcanized.
Installation:
NOTE:
Part:
Replace gasket (1).
NOTE:
The gasket (1) has to be replaced, as otherwise tightness can no longer be guaranteed.
Mount gasket (1). Make sure that the sealing joint (2) is at the indicated position.
NOTE:
Remove the installation cable from the gasket (1) after installation of all trim panels.
Make sure that the gasket (1) lies correctly on the adjacent trim panel components.
Required follow-up work:
- Install the left and right LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH PANEL
- Secure GAS-FILLED TAILGATE SPRING
