Replacing air conditioning compressor (B58 6-Cyl. Engine) (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 030 
• 32 1 270 

Refrigerant circuit is under high pressure!

Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigerant oil.

Read and comply with the following safety information: 

• HANDLING R134A REFRIGERANT .
• HANDLING REFRIGERANT FLUID .

Restart engine only when air conditioning has been correctly filled.

Read and comply with NOTES  on replace compressor.

Follow NOTES  for opening and replacing parts in refrigerant circuit.

If air conditioning is opened for more than 24 hours: 

Replace condenser for air conditioning.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Draw off, evacuate and fill the AIR CONDITIONING  are not included in the time value given for this work operation
• Remove compressor DRIVE BELT .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 64 52 3AZ .

Place compressor (2) slightly to one side.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Release screws (2) and remove refrigerant lines (3).

Tightening torque 64 52 1AZ .

Feed out compressor upwards to the front.

Installation note: 

Replace sealing rings.

Use special tool 00 9 030  to mount sealing rings without damaging them.

Replacement: 

• Change compressor OIL .

After installation: 

• Evacuate and fill AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM .
