Disconnecting and connecting battery earth lead (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)

Follow NOTES for disconnecting and connecting battery!
Observe NOTES on voltage supply/on intelligent battery sensor (IBS).

Necessary preliminary work:

For F30; F32; F35;

Open right flap in luggage compartment panel PANEL

For F33; F34; F36;

Remove righ tside wall luggage compartment trim PANEL

NOTE: With lead-acid battery (F3x only).

Loosen nut (1).

Tightening torque 61 21 1AZ .

CAUTION: Do not under any circumstances use force to pull off negative terminal.

Pull off battery negative lead and IBS (2) in an upward direction, place to one side and secure.
