REP-TAT-P-1100-02 Install engine

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
After replacing the motor or cylinder head: Reprogram or encode the digital motor electronics (DME) if necessary.
Read out the vehicle I-level and proceed accordingly.
Be absolutely certain to pay attention to PuMA measure 62634754.

Attach special tool 0 490 561 (11 0 000) to workshop crane.
Attach the special tool 0 490 561 (11 0 000) on engine mounting brackets (1) and (2) only.
Raise the engine carefully with a workshop crane (3).

NOTE: This work step requires the help of another person.

Tighten nut (1) from engine mount at left.

TIGHTEN TORQUES SPECIFICATIONS

Engine support arm to engine mount
M10 hexagon nut Engine bridge completely relieved, engine support arms are completely placed onto the engine mounts!	55 Nm

Tighten nut (1) from engine mount at right.

TIGHTEN TORQUES SPECIFICATIONS

Engine support arm to engine mount
M10 hexagon nut Engine bridge completely relieved, engine support arms are completely placed onto the engine mounts!	55 Nm

Make sure that the connections are locked correctly. The locks must engage audibly.

Adhere to the notes for all subsequent operations!
Connect tank ventilation line (1).

Install the carrier plate (2) and secure it with the nuts (1).

Clip the fuel feed line (1) and the tank ventilation line (2) into the holder (3).

Lock the closure (1) and connect the coolant hose.

Position the coolant pipe (2) at the front axle support and secure it with the expanding rivets (1).

Attach the coolant hose (2) to the holder (1).
Lock holder (1).

Lock the closure (3) and connect the coolant line on the air conditioning condenser.
Lock the closure (2) and connect the coolant hose.
Lock the closure (1) and connect the coolant hose to the radiator.

Lock the closure (2) and connect the coolant hose to the heat management module.
Lock the closure (1) and connect the coolant hose.

Lock the closure (1) and attach the coolant hose (3).
Attach the coolant hose (3) to the clamp (2) and lock it.

Connect vacuum lines (1) and (2) attach them to the bulkhead.

Position the alternator cable (3) and attach it at the partition wall.
Tighten nut (2).

TIGHTEN TORQUES SPECIFICATIONS

Battery positive lead to battery positive terminal
M6	8 Nm

Mount the partition wall seal (1) and clip it in the marked area.
