REP-TAT-P-1100-01 Removing engine
- Unclip the partition wall seal (1) in the marked area.
WARNING:
Working on 12 V electrical system.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
- Loosen nut (2).
- Detach the alternator cable (3) and detach it from the partition wall.
- Unlock the vacuum line (1) and pull off the vacuum line (2).
- Loosen the vacuum line (2) from the partition wall.
- Unlock the closure (1) and disconnect the coolant hose (3).
- Unlock the clamp (2) and detach the coolant hose (3).
- Unlock the lock (1) and pull off the coolant hose.
- Unlock the closure (2) and disconnect the coolant hose from the heat management module.
- Unlock the closure (1) and disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.
- Unlock the lock (2) and pull off the coolant hose.
- Unlock closure (3) and disconnect the coolant line from the air conditioning condenser.
- Unlock the holder (1) from the bottom and detach the coolant hose (2).
- Detach the expanding rivet (1) and disconnect the coolant pipe (2) from the front axle support.
- Unlock the closure (1) and disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.
- Unclip the fuel feed line (1) and the tank ventilation line (2) from the holder (3).
- Loosen the nuts (1) and remove the carrier plate (2).
- Unlock and disconnect the tank ventilation line (1).
- Loosen the nut (1) on the right-hand engine mount.
- Loosen the nut (1) on the left-hand engine mount.
- Attach special tool 0 490 561 (11 0 000) to workshop crane.
- Attach the special tool 0 490 561 (11 0 000) on engine mounting brackets (1) and (2) only.
- Lift the engine out with the workshop crane (3).
