51 13 280 Removing and installing/replacing trim strip on roof frame at left or right
Special tools required:
- 00 9 321
Lever out trim strip (1) with special tool 00 9 321 starting at the front.
Unclip trim strip (1) in direction of arrow.
Installation note:
Clips (1), gaskets (2) and end caps (3) must not be damaged or missing.
The positions of the clips (1) are determined with the tabs on the body.
Place the trim strip onto the roof loosely and check if clips (1) are correctly positioned with the tabs on the roof.
Replacement:
Do not attach clips (1) until the trim strip has been painted.
Mounting dimensions for clips:
Dimension (A) from outer edge of trim strip (1) (not outer edge of end cap) to center of clip (2).
Dimensions (B to G) refer to the center of the clips (2).

Installation note:
Trim strip (1) must be flush with roof outer skin (±1.2 mm) at rear.
Gasket (2) must be correctly positioned against trim strip (1).
