63 21 260 Removing and installing (replacing) left, rear light (on side wall)

Unscrew clip (1).

Feed cover (2) in upward direction out of guides (3).

Installation note:

Make sure cover (2) is correctly seated.

IMPORTANT: Risk of paint damage!

Tape off entire area (1) with yellow plastic adhesive tape.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque, reefer to: 63 21 1AZ .

IMPORTANT: The rear light is secured in the body with a latch!
In the interests of avoiding damage to the rear light and the paintwork the following text describes how to release the latch.

NOTE: Similar to graphic.

Detach the rear light (2) in direction of arrow from the latch mechanism (1).

Unlock associated plug connection and disconnect.

Remove rear light (2).

Installation note:

Make sure that rear light (2) is correctly locked.

Replacement:

Convert the BULBS if necessary.
