Checking/Adjusting The Angle Of Attack Of A Wiper Arm To The Windshield

Remove the wiper blade (1) from the wiper arm (2).
The tappet (3) of the wiper arm (2) is the mounting for special tool.

Push special tool 0 495 346 (61 6 100) onto the tappet (1).
Position the special tool 0 495 346 (61 6 100) on the windshield (2) and read the value from the scale.
The angle of attack is read off for left-hand drive vehicles in the range from 0° to -10° and for right-hand drive vehicles in the range from 0° to +10° on the scale.

Read off the angle of attack from the scale on the special tool and compare with the setpoint value.

In the case of deviations of the angle of attack read off on the scale to that from the setpoint value, correct the wiper arm (1) using special tools 0 495 457 (61 6 110) in the arrow direction.
