Removing and installing/replacing left luggage compartment wheel arch panel

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove COVER FROM TAIL PANEL .
• Remove TRIM FOR TAILGATE HINGE  on left.

Version without through-loading system: 

• REMOVE backrest for rear seat

Version with through-loading system: 

• Reposition left rear seat backrest

Lever out cover (1) and release screw underneath.

Tightening torque 51 47 1AZ .

Remove lashing eye (2).

Remove storage tray (1) in upward direction.

Release expanding rivets (1).

Feed out luggage compartment wheel arch panel (2) in direction of arrow

If necessary, unlock plug connection for charging socket and disconnect.

Installation note: 

Luggage compartment wheel arch panel (2) must fit correctly under tailgate rubber seal (1).

Replacement and version with charging socket: 

Lever out charging socket (1) in direction of arrow.

Replacement (depending on version): 

Unclip tensioning strap (1).

Detach luggage compartment net (2) at holder (3).

Release lock washer (4) and feed out luggage compartment net (2).

Unscrew holder (3).

If necessary, apertures for tensioning strap (1) and luggage compartment net (2) must be cut out at mark on rear side.
