Replace rear bumper panel
Attention!
To ensure the system function in vehicles with sensor for lane change warning (optional equipment S5ASA and S5ATA), do not repaint the bumper panel in paint stage 1 or paint stage 3.
Do not attach labels in the sampling range of the sensor.
Follow the further instructions according to painting manual.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove BUMPER PANEL .
- Remount the cover for the towing eye
- If necessary, punch HOLES FOR ULTRASONIC SENSORS .
- If necessary, install HOLDER FOR ULTRASONIC SENSORS .
- Remount Rear Reflectors. Refer to REPLACING REAR REFLECTOR (FROM 05/2013) .
Execution with PDC:
Unlock retaining tabs (1) in direction of arrow and pull ultrasonic sensor (2) up and out of bracket (3).
Installation note:
Before installing the ultrasonic sensor (2), clean the plug connections.
Retaining tabs (1) must not be damaged!
Release the air duct at latch mechanisms and remove.
NOTE:
Carry out work on the left side in the same way as for the right side illustrated here.
