12 14 550 Replacing electronics box (N47 D16/20 K/U/O/T 1)

IMPORTANT: READ and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

IMPORTANT: Follow INSTRUCTIONS for removing and installing control units

Partially loosen the rear gasket (1) for the engine compartment lid until the screw is accessible from the cover of the electronics box.

Release all screws along line (2).

Tightening torque: 12 90 1AZ .

Remove the electronics box lid (3).

Loosen all connectors and relay carriers (1) from the electronics box and set aside.

Installation note:

Make sure rubber grommets are correctly fitted (watertightness).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque: 12 90 2AZ .

Pull the electronics box from the rubber grommet and remove through the top.

NOTE: Check stored fault message.
Clear diagnostic fault entries from fault memory.
