51 37 265 Removing and installing/replacing inner window cavity cover strip for door window, rear left or right (2' Series convertible models)
IMPORTANT:
The "INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALLATION OF WINDOW GUIDES " serve as the basis for this repair instructions and must be observed without fail.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Refer to RELEASING REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL UPPER SECTION and place to one side
NOTE:
Prior to removing the weatherstrip, pay attention to the exact installation position with respect to the adjoining components.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
If reusing the existing window cavity cover strip (3), make sure it is not bent.
If reusing the existing window cavity cover strip (3), make sure it is not bent.
Undo the lower section of side trim panel (1) above in the area of the B-pillar and pull inwards.
Release weather strip (3) from brackets (2) and pull off upwards beginning from the front.
Installation note:
Coat weather strip (3) prior to fitting with APPROVED LUBRICANT .
Ensure weather strip (3) is fitted correctly.
Installation note:
Catch (1) must not be damaged.
