63 21 030 Removing and installing/replacing socket housing for left rear light (2' Series coupe and convertible, 2017-2021)
WARNING:
Follow instructions for HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .
Necessary preliminary work:
- Refer to REMOVING REAR LIGHT .
Release all latch mechanisms.
Remove the socket housing (1) from the rear light (2).
Installation note:
The socket housing seal must not be damaged or missing.
Make sure socket housing (1) is correctly locked.
Replacement:
NOTE:
When replacing the socket housing in vehicles with production date up to 10/2016, the RIGHT AND LEFT GROUNDING CABLE MUST BE RETROFITTED
.
Installation note:
Gasket (1) on socket housing (2) must not be damaged or missing.
Carefully press bulb (3-6) into socket housing (2), turn in direction of arrow and remove from socket housing (2).
- (3) Bulb, turn indicator.
- (4) Bulbs, brake light.
- (5) Bulb, reversing light.
- (6) Bulb, rear fog light.
