Remove the wiring harness section for the transmission
Precondition
- Ignition is switched off.

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Screw all screw points of the cable ducts on again. Some of the screw points are also grounding points.

- Unlock connector (1) and pull off.
- Detach the wiring harness from the clamps (arrows).
- Guide the wiring harness section for the transmission (1) out and set it aside.
- Unfasten nut (1).
- Detach the wiring harness from the clamps (arrows).
- Remove cable (2) and put to one side.
- Unlock and detach the connector (1) from the transmission.
- For all-wheel drive vehicles, unlock and disconnect the connector from the transfer box (VTG).
- Detach the wiring harness from the clamps (arrows).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Guide the wiring harness section for the transmission (3) out and remove it.
