52 24 420 Replacing backrest shell for rear seat

Special tools required:

52 0 050

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove ARMREST FOR REAR SEAT BACKREST .
Remove GUIDE SLEEVES FOR HEAD RESTRAINTS .

NOTE: Removal operation is shown on left side.
Carry out removal on right side in the same way.

Disconnect all retainers.

Lever out cover welt in marked area with plastic wedge.

Fold back cover in upper area.

Disconnect retainers underneath.

Installation:

Remove all remnants of retainers.

Bend new retainers to shape with special tool 52 0 050 .

Disengage cover from backrest frame.

Remove cover with padding from backrest shell.
