52 17 032 Removing and installing/replacing backrest frame for driver's seat

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 18 other vehicles, including the 2015 BMW Alpina B7L xDrive, 2015 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive, 2015 BMW 750i xDrive, 2015 BMW 750Li xDrive, and 2015 BMW 740Li xDrive. NOTE: This removing/installing/replacing procedure applies to "Comfort" seat version.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: For purposes of clarity the following operations are shown with the backrest cover removed.

Detach clips (2).

Installation: 

Replace faulty clips (2).

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Detach wiring harness retainers from backrest frame.

Feed wiring harness out of backrest frame.

Unclip left and right clips (1).

Unhook seat covers (2) on left and right.

Release left and right screws (3).

Tightening torque 52 10 2AZ .

Remove backrest frame.

Replacement only: 

NOTE: The new backrest frame part contains all the drives.

Version with rear cabin monitor (RSE) only: 

Blind rivet threaded pins for carrier plate must be reset.

Attach blind rivet thread pins with ZS 308 rivet gun.
