51 45 460 Removing and installing/replacing upper instrument panel storage compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove DECORATIVE STRIP ON INSTRUMENT PANEL ON RIGHT .
- Remove DECORATIVE STRIP ON STORAGE COMPARTMENT/DVD CHANGER INSTRUMENT PANEL .
- Remove DECORATIVE STRIP ON INSTRUMENT PANEL IN MIDDLE .
- With DVD changer fitted:
- Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Open glove box (1).
Release screws (2) on upper instrument panel storage compartment (3).
Pull out upper instrument panel storage compartment (3) towards front.
If necessary, unlock and disconnect plug connection for DVD changer.
Remove upper instrument panel storage compartment (3).
Replacement:
If necessary, remove CD CHANGER .
