41 34 060 Replacing Tail Panel Stripping Operations

The following list basically represents the removal sequence.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.
- Remove rear bumper trim (job number: 5112156)
- Replace rear left side panel (job number: 4135101)
- Replace rear right side panel (job number: 4135111)
- Remove left luggage compartment wheel arch panel (job number: 5147151)
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch panel (job number: 5147161)
- Remove luggage compartment floor trim panel (job number: 5147131)
- Remove battery (job number: 6121010)
- Upper tail panel trim (job number: 5146050)
- Release tailgate seal
Release left and right screws (1).
NOTE:
Do not adjust barrel screws.
Installation note:
Refer to installation notes on removing and installing rear module (5437160).
Graphic shows the left side, the procedure for the right side is identical.
Disconnect connector (1).
Slacken nut (2).
Remove amplifier (3).
Remove guide (4).
Disconnect connector (1).
Release cable (2) from holders.
Remove guide (3).
Remove bumper carrier (4).
Disconnect cable (1) on left and right from parking brake actuator.
Lay loose wiring harnesses through tail panel inwards.
Disconnect connector (1).
Remove control unit (2).
Remove guard plate (3).
Remove DAB tuner (4).
Lay wiring harnesses (1) with control units towards front.
Remove storage trays (2).
