31 33 095 Measure vehicle ride height, front axle

Determining actual ride height (A):

To do so, attach tape measure to rim flange (2) and measure to wheel arch lower edge or engine compartment lid lower edge (1).

NOTE: If engine compartment lid is removed or damaged, use special tool 32 0 001.

Fitting special tool 32 0 001: 

Remove rubber plug next to spring strut dome.

Fasten special tool 32 0 001 in bore hole and turn in opposite direction to direction of travel (see arrow) up to stop (1).

Determining actual ride height (A):

Attach tape measure to rim flange at bottom middle and measure to lower edge of special tool 32 0 001.
