51 71 371 Removing and installing/replacing tension strut on left or right spring strut dome

IMPORTANT: Vehicles must not be driven without tension struts.
Driving without tension struts may damage the vehicle body.
Tension struts can be secured with screws or nuts.
Screws must be tightened to specified torque and then tightened down with special tool 00 9 120.

Release screw (1).

Lift out expanding rivets (2).

Remove cable holder (3).

Release screws (4).

Tightening torque 51 71 4AZ .

Installation: 

Replace screws (4), tighten to specified torque and then to angle of rotation.

Remove tension strut (5).
