51 32 170 Removing and installing/replacing door window glass, front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks

WARNING: Risk of injury!

Carry out work on the power window unit only when the power window motor is de-energized.

Door window glass (1) must be opened to dimension (A).

A= approx. 110 mm

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 16AZ .

Remove adapter (2).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 13AZ .

Remove H-strut (2).

NOTE: Power window unit is shown removed.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 32 2AZ .

Remove door window glass (2).

Installation:

Insert door window glass (2) in clamping plates (3).

ADJUST DOOR WINDOW GLASS .

Check function.

When replacing door window glass

Remove clamping plate (1) from door window glass (2).
