61 12 004 Replacing battery positive lead (from luggage compartment connector to engine bulkhead connector)

Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL
Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 61 12 3AZ .

Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Feed out vacuum hose (1).

Release nuts (2).

Release all screws.

Remove heat shield (3) towards bottom.

Feed out battery positive leads (1) towards bottom.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Release cable tie and remove cover (2).

Release cable holder (1).

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove duct cover (2).

Release cable holder (1).

Release screws (1).

Remove electronics box cover (2).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Remove battery positive lead with wiring harness grommet (2) from electronics box.

Installation:

Make sure wiring harness grommets (2) are correctly seated in electronics box.

Remove cover cap (1) from B+ terminal.

Slacken nut (1).

Tightening torque 61 12 2AZ .

Remove battery positive lead in downward direction.
