51 32 390 Removing and installing/replacing frame trim on front left or right side window frame

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Open side window
REMOVE WINDOW CAVITY COVER STRIP ON OUTSIDE OF FRONT DOOR

Lever out plastic rivet (3).

Lever seal (2) out of decorative strip (1).

Installation note:

During installation, attach decorative strip (1) first at rear to door edge (4).

Decorative strip (1) must match trim (5).

Lever out seal (1) from inside.

Installation note:

Following parts of decorative strip on window frame (4) must not be damaged or missing:

Plastic rivet
Rubber profile
Seal

NOTE: Start pulling off the frame trim (1) at (A).

Detach decorative strip (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1 and 2) on decorative strip (3).
