61 31 037 Removing and installing/replacing light control unit (X6 2015-2019)

NOTE: When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Reach behind the opening.

Unlock retaining clips (1) by pushing down.

Thread out trim with light operating unit (2).

Unlock and disconnect relevant connectors.

Replacement:

Release light operating unit (1) at latch mechanisms (2).

Remove trim (5) from light operating unit (1).

Installation note:

Light operating unit (1) must be correctly locked in trim (5).

Guides (3) and clamps (4) on trim (5) must not be damaged or missing.
