51 13 307 Remove and install/replace left or right roof rail (version with slide/tilt sunroof) (X6 2015-2019)

Special tools required:

72 0 020

Necessary preliminary tasks:

LOWER ROOFLINER .

Removal:

Head airbag must be released from one clamp in each case in order to access the front and center bolting points.

To detach the clamps, use special tool 72 0 020.

Push the left and right tabs together and pull clamp out.

Comply with NOTES on handling airbag systems.

Press head airbag slightly to the side and release nut (2).

Slacken nut (1).

Remove roof rail upwards.

Installation:

Install roof rails.

NOTE: The roof rails may only be inserted in the roof channel with light uniform pressure (do not use impact on the roof rails).
Sequence of screw connections: Center-rear-front.

Press head airbag slightly to the side and tighten nut (2).

Tightening torque 51 13 4AZ .

Secure clamp (1).
