51 71 039 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right wheel arch cover (rear part) (X6 2015-2019)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove FRONT WHEEL .
- Release FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER (FRONT SECTION) in rear area.
NOTE:
Work shown on the X5 xDrive 50i by way of example; deviations are possible in other models.
Detach ABS connection box (1).
Release screws (1), nut (2) and expanding rivet (3).
Feed out wheel arch cover.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure all covers in wheel arch are correctly seated in relation to each other:
- Front cover (2) overlaps rear cover (1).
- Cover (3) overlaps covers (1, 2, 4).
